Am I That Fish?

"I will bite whoever I met when feel hungry," said a small shark, confidently.

"Yeah. We are the greatest species of fish in this kingdom. Everyone knows it," another shark replied.

Suddenly, they were caught by a fisherman. They struggled to escape. One of them managed to, then, he swam back into the sea as fast as he could without knowing his friend’s condition that was still trapped in the net.

The small shark couldn’t release himself and was brought by the fisherman out of the water. Fish cannot survive without water. Fortunately, he was immediately being placed in a big tank. There, he managed to breath again.

PARADIGM SHIFTED


The small shark was brought into an exclusive aquarium located in a hotel. To make sure the shark does not harm the other fishes in that aquarium, the hotel's staff put a thin, of transparent mirror around the shark to separate it from the other fishes. As natural behavior before, the fierce shark is trying to bite the other fish. However, that didn’t stop the shark from trying to attack the other fishes as it is almost its natural behavior to bite them especially when it is hungry.

He tried for a million times. However, he absolutely failed. He couldn’t break down the transparent mirror, because he cannot didn’t see it. What he saw was only the colourful fishes, which attracted him to catch them.

"Ohh.. I cannot eat them anymore..," said the small shark, hopelessly.

"What makes you think like that? You are the greatest, remember," a fish suddenly replied as he was surprised to hear the honest confession of the small shark.

"Arrrghh.. I’m weak. I am tired to try and feel pain. My ability is not like my other friends of the same species. I cannot do that," said the small shark, in a disappointment tone.

After that, the hotel's staff removed the transparent mirror. By right, the small shark should attack the other fish. But, he already had gave up. Totally gave up. Although the opportunity was only in his front of eyes. Right in front of his eyes. Therefore, the natural characteristics of shark are now useless.

WE ARE THAT SMALL SHARK, IF....

We give up!

Remember, when we face obstacles along our way in reaching the goal, it is only temporary. Allah gave us a lot of mind power, physically and mentally for us to think and solve the problems. If today is so difficult, that doesn’t mean tomorrow will be difficult too. Therefore, we must be grateful with all Allah's qada' and qadar because He surely will replace something better than what we pray for.

When you did not get something, it doesn’t mean Allah didn’t hear your prayers. In fact, He is The Most Hearing for every single thing. It’s just that we never know when will it be. It’s only the matter of time. So, never give up or loose hope.

وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكۡرَهُواْ شَيۡـًٔ۬ا وَهُوَ خَيۡرٌ۬ لَّڪُمۡ‌ۖ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تُحِبُّواْ شَيۡـًٔ۬ا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ۬ لَّكُمۡ‌ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

"..And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know."

(Surat Al-Baqarah, verse 216)

Don't waste our potential and talent, because they are all given by Allah too..
